Will Posting Nude Photos Of Myself Generate More Interest In Me?

As my profile states, I am a bit of an exhibitionist. However, I have yet to post nude images of myself since I've wanted to save that for when I met people from this site in person. However, it's been over a year, and that hasn't transpired at all.

What do you think?
Stay the course. Save nudity for real-life encounters.
Hetero men shouldn't post nude photos. Women aren't turned on by cock shots anyway.
Post nude photos that are interesting, perhaps taken in public places around town.
Perhaps post a picture of your backside only.
Post nude photos that are artistically done by a professional photographer.

Dr. Strange Sex Review

Directed by Paul G. Vatelli. Released by Caballero in 1985.

Although a play on the title Dr. Strangelove, this film has little resemblance to the 1964 Stanley Kubrick film. This movie is the story of Dr. Strange Sex, a nickname given to the character played by Jerry Butler, since he ends up in precarious sexual situations with women from foreign agencies who are trying to steal U.S. secrets. He is a nuclear physicist commissioned by the U.S. government and the Soviets are out to pry any information they can out of him with beautiful spies such as Diva Wolf and Gina Carrera. However, Gina Carrera falls for her target and realizes that he wants world peace, so she turns traitor against her Soviet commander. Billy Dee plays a U.S. secret agent who is assigned to protect Dr. Strange Sex. Story Grade: A-.

This feature was shot on video, but includes film inserts that are presumably stock footage. The movie could have benefited by having been shot entirely on film, as the quality contrast between the two media is quite evident. Medium Grade: B-.

Some soundstage sets were used, while some scenes were shot at actual locations. There were a few outdoor scenes which benefited the production value. Set Design Grade: B.

The sexual performances were pretty standard. Girls wore high heel shoes in many of the bed sex scenes, which was somewhat distracting. No condoms were used in this production. (Condom use has no bearing on the grade.) Sexual Performance Grade: B-.

The acting was decent, although Soviet accents weren't entirely convincing. Gina Carrera didn't seem to use an accent at all. Bill Margold's Soviet commander character may have been dubbed. Acting Grade: B-.

Characters' wardrobe seemed to be appropriate; however, when Lois Ayres comes out of the shower, she is wearing earrings and her hair didn't appear wet. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: B-.

Lighting was consistent and scenes were appropriately lit, although the sex scene with Lois Ayres and Billy Dee featured a blue light that seemed out of place. Perhaps it was used to give the scene a feeling of taking place at night, but it didn't seem to be necessary and was simply distracting. Lighting Grade: B.

The sound in the Soviet Headquarters scene was hollow, tinny, and echo-y. Otherwise, there were no noticeable audio flaws. Sound Grade: B.

While the film inserts added to enhance the scope and scale of the production, I'm curious to know where they came from, since some also dealt with Soviets. The slow-motion cum shots were a bit over the top. Directing Grade: B.

Although there was definitely artistic merit in this production, a little more effort could have been made to make the production more realistic. The onscreen labels of the "Government Headquarters" and "Soviet Headquarters" were terribly vague, for example. The death scenes weren't the best, but there have definitely been far worse staged for x-rated fare. Artistic Merit Grade: B.

Directed by Joe Sarno. Released by Vidway in 1990.

Heather Hunter is suing her husband for divorce on the grounds of infidelity. The entire movie takes place during the court proceedings, with various sex flashbacks throughout. It's a pretty decent premise, but it could have been executed better. Story Grade: C-.

This feature was shot on video. It looks fairly average for the technology of the time. Medium Grade: C.

The sets looked extremely cheap and were clearly produced on soundstages. This production was done in New York City. Although Heather uses her actual name in the movie, it is never acknowledged that her character is an x-rated actress. However, promotional photos of her work with Vidway appear in the bedroom scene as does a copy of Adult Video News, the cover of which features Heather. Set Design Grade: D.

Tami Monroe's sex scenes seemed to be the best. Heather Hunter didn't seem to be completely into the scenes she was doing. Lois Ayres' scene with Rick Savage was better than her scene with Scott Irish. Sex Performances Grade: C+.

Tami Monroe's acting, on the other hand, was atrocious. Being the lead, Heather Hunter wasn't given much to do. The voice over inner-though narrations were annoying and rather unnecessary. Rick Savage sounded like he was using an accent at the beginning, but it was eventually dropped. Scott Baker also used an accent, but it seemed out of place, regardless of its attempted addition of humor. Acting Grade: D.

Heather Hunter's wardrobe looked fine, but it was inappropriate for a courtroom setting. Scott Irish wearing sunglasses in court was also inappropriate. Tami Monroe's judge costume also didn't seem to fit right. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: D.

The lighting was fairly consistent and was about average for a video production of this era. Lighting Grade: C.

The sound quality was awful and may not have been recorded in stereo. Sometimes the dialogue track would drop out completely. Occasionally off-screen directions could be heard. Sound Grade: F.

It seems that director Joe Sarno (credited as Irving Weiss) did what he could with what he had to work with, but it certainly wasn't his best work. Directing Grade: D+.

Some attempt was given to create a cohesive narrative from this feature; however, a larger budget could have been useful. It was also quite clear that Heather Hunter was still somewhat new to the industry at this time, having only done a few movies before this one. Artistic Merit Grade: C-.

Over the last couple of weeks, I decided to take a break from watching x-rated movies for a while in order to make time to experience the real thing. However, given my lack of luck with women, I'll probably be back to viewing and reviewing movies in no time. Stay tuned.

Directed by Bud Lee. Released by Adam & Eve in 2001.

This movie presents the story of Jack (played at first by Devin Wolf), who changes into the form of another man after sexual intercourse. He sees a sex therapist (played by Elizabeth X.) for help. Naturally she is skeptical, but as she is a researcher, she needs to see it for herself. The two have sex and afterward Jack is played by Ian Daniels. Although she claims that she will work on his problem, she doesn't seem to come up with a solution. Somehow at the end after Jack (now played by Steve Hatcher) has sex with Mocha, he reverts back to being Devin Wolf. It was a good concept that could have been executed a little better. Story Grade: B-.

This feature was shot on video: Medium Grade: B.

Sets were all built on soundstages, but were fairly well-dressed and if one weren't paying particularly close attention, one might not realize that they were phony rather than real locations. Set Design Grade: B+.

The sexual performances were energetic and the performers seemed to be having a good time. Condoms were used in all of the male-female scenes. (Condom use has no bearing on the grade.) Sexual Performances Grade: A-.

Acting performances were slightly better than average. There tending to be some feeling behind the dialogue delivery. The set-up to the Joel Lawrence sex scene seemed a little rushed. Acting Performance Grade: B.

Costumes and make-up were appropriate, but not particularly spectacular. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: B+.

Lighting was well-done. There were no noticeable instances of on-screen fluctuations or inconsistencies. Lighting Grade: A-.

The musical score was pretty good and the sound quality was consistent throughout the feature. Sound Grade: A-.

Again, there didn't seem to be a real ending to the movie. It wasn't explained why Jack changed back to his original form at the end. That was probably the biggest drawback to this feature. Directing Grade: B.

This production couple have benefited from using real locations instead of sets. The pace could also have been slowed down a little. In terms of the story, the lesbian scene with Bridgette Kerkove and Alex Foxe was not necessary. It would have worked better if they would have played a role in developing a solution to Jack's condition. Artistic Merit Grade: B-.

Directed by Cash Markman. Released by Dreamland Video in 1999.

This movie is a spoof of film Pleasantville as well as the TV show Dragnet, although perhaps more so of the movie version from 1987 starring Dan Aykroyd. Skippy, a young college student played by Rich Handsome, lives with his mom and dad (played by Elizabeth X. and Mike Horner) in a 1950's setting. A girl known only as The Beaver (played by Angelica Sin) moves in with them. Skippy's world is in black and white, but he dreams in color. As these sexual fantasies become real, the real world becomes colorized also. Although it's a copy of a Hollywood idea, it still works well in an x-rated capacity. Story Grade: A-.

This movie was shot on video. Medium Grade: B.

Sets were obviously constructed on soundstages, but they were fairly adequately dressed. The closet in Skippy's room looked fairly empty, and the garage set was obviously a set, but overall they weren't bland. Set Design: B+.

Sex performances were fairly average. Michael J. Cox wore a condom in his scene with Laurel Canyon. Otherwise, no condoms were used. Sexual Performances Grade: C+.

The acting was fairly decent. Although Steve Austin fell short of the Dan Aykroyd portrayal of Joe Friday, it was a valiant effort. (Steve Austin's character was named Thursday.) Mike Horner and Elizabeth X.'s non-sex roles were entertaining as were Frank Bukkwyd's (who played Thursday's partner) and Captain Bob's (who played the bartender). Acting Grade: B+.

The wardrobe was appropriate for the most part, although the panties that Laurel Canyon wore probably wouldn't have been worn by Marilyn Monroe. Nevertheless, I was able to suspend my disbelief. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: B+.

There were no particular lighting issues in this feature. Lighting Grade: A.

The sound quality was not that great. It seemed to not be recorded in stereo. However, there wasn't an echo or tinny sound that is prevalent in many video productions. Sound Grade: B-.

Angelica Sin did break the fourth wall during the three-girl striptease scene. There were also a couple of moments when offstage direction could be heard. There were a few times when the black and white scenes transitioning to the colorized scenes were a little off. At the beginning of the Michael J. Cox / Laurel Canyon sex scene, Michael J. Cox can be seen standing on tip-toes to achieve penetration on a car hood. That appeared to be a little awkward. Directing Grade: B.

Although I haven't seen the movie Pleasantville, this seemed to be a fairly successful spoof of that premise. The script here was pretty strong and the acting was also well done. Artistic Merit Grade: A.

Directed by David Stanley. Released by Vivid Entertainment in 2003.

Ava Vincent is the main character who lives with her deadbeat boyfriend (played by Cheyne Collins). One day after doing laundry in the basement of her apartment complex, she accidentally leaves behind a pair of her panties, which are taken by Eric Masterson (another building tenant). He is into witchcraft and casts a spell on them, whereby he can make Ava feel like she's having sex when he rubs or licks the panties. Briana Banks plays Ava's friend. She works at a , and she tells Ava of this strange who requested that she give him a handjob while rubbing a pair of panties against his cock. Since the event happened at the same time Ava was being pleasured "by remote control," and since Briana's description of the panties matched those lost by Ava, Ava deduces that Briana's is behind the strange phenomenon. The two girls break into Eric's apartment, find the panties and a book of spells, and abscond with them as well as a pair of Eric's underwear. They then cast a similar spell on him. Eric realizes the act of revenge and returns to get his book of spells.
Six months later, Ava discovers that her boyfriend is cheating on her with Briana. Ava goes to Eric with a pair of Briana's panties that were left behind in the apartment and they cast the same spell on her. The spell affects her while she is driving and she ends up in a car accident. Eric tells Ava that he also has the ability to turn people into fruits or vegetables, so Ava's boyfriend becomes a potato, given his persona of being a "couch potato." Story Grade: B.

This feature was shot on digital video. Medium Grade: B+.

All of the sets were created on soundstages and looked phony. A table and a couple of chairs were moved onto the set of Ava's apartment that weren't there in the first scenes. Stage lights could be seen in the background in one scene. Set Design Grade: D.

The sexual performances were generally pretty good. Condoms were used in all scenes. (Condom use has no bearing on the grade.) Briana Banks kept her high heels on during her scene with Cheyne Collins, which was distracting. Sexual Performances Grade: B+.

Ava Vincent did a fine acting job, as did Sharon Kane, who played the eccentric madame at the . Some acting was a little over the top. The diner scene included the famous line "I'll have what she's having" from When Harry Met Sally, but it falls flat here. Acting Performances Grade: B.

Sunrise Adams and Sharon Kane were both almost unrecognizable in their costumes, which says something for the make-up and wardrobe on this production. Ava Vincent's shoes didn't seem to go with her waitress outfit, however. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: A-.

At times, the lighting looked like that used in a cheap 1980's adult video. The shadow of the cameraman could be seen in one shot. Sometimes the lights were too bright on the performers. Lighting Grade: C-.

The score of this movie was very minimal and sometimes was very ominous at times when it didn't need to be. Otherwise the sound quality was clear and consistent. Sound Grade: B.

The framing of some of the shots in the Briana Banks / Bobby Vitale scene could have been better. The overall tone of the work seemed to be dark and sinister which was a good complement to the witchcraft theme; however, at times it attempted to veer into comedy which ultimately failed. Sticking to the dark and serious overtone would have served this production better. Directing Grade: B.

Artistry was definitely perceivable in this production, and probably would have been more perceivable had the budget been larger. The cheap-looking sets were definitely a stark drawback. Artistic Merit Grade: B-.

Christy Canyon reprises her role as Sandra Davis in this sequel which takes place five years after the story in the original. After being found guilty of murder in the first degree, Ms. Davis is contacted by a sympathetic F.B.I. agent (played by Ron Jeremy) who offers her a full pardon on the condition of her going undercover to help take down Tony Montana who is enslaving models to do sex work. Although the story isn't particularly believable, it is far better than the story in the original. Story Grade: D+.

This feature was shot on video. Medium Grade: C.

This production was obviously filmed on soundstages. The sets were very basic and boring. Set Design Grade: D.

Sexual performances were fairly average. More positions could have been done in the Mandi Wine / Wayne Summers scene. Sexual Performances Grade: C.

A lot of the acting felt robotic with little emotion behind it. Ron jeremy was the best of the bunch and his quips during sex scenes added some lighthearted comedy. Acting Grade: C+.

The wardrobe and make-up were appropriate for the characters, but nothing particularly stood out as being exceptional. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: C.

Sometimes, the lighting was too direct and the performers were lit brighter than the rest of the set. Also, there were times when lighting was adjusted during the sex scenes which was distracting. Lighting Grade: D+.

The dialogue seemed to have a slight echo and sound tinny in a number of scenes. Some background music seemed not to match the tone of the scene in which it was played. Sound Grade: C-.

While there were exterior shots of real locations, this production would have looked better if it had been shot at those real locations. As it is, this production is much like any other average video production from the 1980's. Directing Grade: C.

Although this production had a better script than its predecessor, it still seemed to lack much artistic flair. Artistic Merit Grade: C-.

Key Party Review

Directed by Paul Thomas. Released by Vivid Video in 2004.

A relationship/sex therapist (played by Steven St. Croix) hosts a 1970's-style key party under the guise of research as a means to justify cheating on his wife (played by Briana Banks). Five other couples attend the party, each with their own relationship story. However, there isn't much development as the characters are primarily the same at the end of the movie as they were at the beginning. Story Grade: C.

This movie was shot on film with "talking head" insert shots that were shot on video. Medium Grade: B+.

Actual locations were used in this production with numerous outdoor scenes giving the movie a realistic vibe. A movie poster for Let's Get Lost about Chet Baker could be seen in the background. Set Design Grade: A.

The sexual performances were energetic as well as unconventional, in the sense that some positions were obviously done to allow the camera to get a good view of the action. There were a few times when performers seemed to be looking offstage for direction to make sure their positioning was acceptable for that purpose, which was somewhat distracting. Condoms were used in all scenes. (Condom use has no bearing on the grade.) A moment of female urination by Savanna Samson was a rarity in a feature. Sexual Performances Grade: B+.

Dialogue delivery was done very well and seemed authentic for the most part. The talking head inserts seemed to be unnecessary as the information contained within them could easily have been conveyed through character interactions. Nick Manning broke the fourth wall at the end of his imagination scene with Jordan Haze. Acting Grade: A-.

Wardrobe and make-up seemed appropriate as the party was to have had a 1960's/1970's theme, however, this could have been pushed a little further. It also looked like Tyce Bune was wearing eyeliner, which looked a little strange. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: B.

The lighting felt appropriate in each scene. Sex scenes weren't overly brightly lit, which added a degree of realism. Lighting Grade: A-.

Sound quality was consistent throughout and the background party music sounded appropriate for the setting. Sound Grade: A.

A boom shadow was visible in one scene, while a member of the crew could be seen walking in the background of another. The scene with Tyce Bune and Katie Morgan toward the beginning of the movie looked a little blurry. Some scenes seemed to have a circular framing making them have a sense that they were being filmed with a hidden camera which was a bit distracting. Directing Grade: B-.

There was definitely an attempt to put together a decent production here, but the story could probably have been better served with fewer characters and stronger story arcs for each of the couples involved. Artistic Merit Grade: B.

Directed by Marc Curtis. Released by Leisure Time Entertainment in 1985.

The story begins when Rick Savage is rejected and slapped by a college girl to whom he catcalls on the sidewalk. As revenge, he and four other guys (played by Peter North, David Sanders, Craig Roberts, and Tony Martino) go to her dorm room and force themselves on her and four of her friends (played by April May, Bunny Bleu, Christy Canyon, Beverly Bliss, and Josephine Carrington). Then one year later, the girls suddenly decide to get revenge on the guys by seducing them and then savagely, and somewhat gruesomely, murdering them with machine guns. There isn't much story development at all. Story Grade: F-.

This movie appears to have been shot on video (even though the feature is branded as a Marc Curtis "film"), but almost seemed to pass as low-grade film. Medium Grade: B.

There were very few outdoor shots and the indoor shots were tight most of the time, so one couldn't really evaluate the set design. According to the IMDB, the college campus was that of Indiana University Northwest in Gary, Indiana. Bonus points for including a Devo poster, a Mickey Mouse shirt, and cans of Coke and Sprite. Set Design: C+.

The sex performances were the bulk of the movie and not quite as sequential as IAFD would have you believe. There are really only two groups of sex scenes: the initial encounters and the revenge seductions. All of the sex scenes within each of those two groupings overlap, so they seem almost interminable. The performances themselves were fairly average. Sexual Performances Grade: C.

Not much acting existed in this movie, and what acting there was simply wasn't believable. Acting Grade: D-.

Nothing about the wardrobe was particularly sensational. The girls basically presented themselves as prostitutes in the revenge scenes, so their attire seemed appropriate for that purpose. Wardrobe/Make-Up Grade: C.

Lighting was not consistent from camera angle to camera angle within a given scene. Shadows of crew members were in some shots. In some shots, the lights would go from dim to bright. Lighting Grade: F.

The sound quality seemed to be of average quality throughout the feature. Sound Grade: C.

Whether or not the exterior footage of the campus is stock footage is unknown. I do recall reading that there was an x-rated production company headquartered in the Midwest in the 1980's, so it could have been shot explicitly for the movie. Beyond that, the production was mediocre. Directing Grade: D.

There could have been more story development. Given that college encounters are getting in the headlines more and more, it's doubtful that an x-rated movie like this would be made today. It would be interesting if the topic were portrayed more seriously in the adult industry, however. But this review is about what is in the movie, not what isn't, and what is in the movie in terms of artistic merit isn't much. Artistic Merit Grade: D-.

Directed by Bud Lee. Released by Adam & Eve in 2000.

In this movie, Asia Carrera plays a writer struggling to finish her latest book of erotic fiction. She receives notice from her agent (played by Joel Lawrence) that someone is trying to contact her regarding her aunt's estate, and discovers that she has inherited it now that her aunt has died. Upon arrival, she is seduced by her aunt's friend and financial planner (played by RayVeness) and witnesses an illusion of a couple having sex on the balcony of the mansion one night (Cheyenne Silver and Steve Hatcher), an illusion brought on by a familiar (played by Anna Malle). It turns out that the familiar is a witch in disguise and is going to use Asia Carrera's virgin body to come back to life, having been destroyed by a wizard (played by George Kaplan, who later turns into Jon Dough). It's a bit of a slow-starter, and much of the overall plot is exposition revealed by Kaplan (also the screenwriter) in a single brief scene toward the end of the movie. It's a fine concept, but could have been executed better. Note that this is the first installment of a trilogy, even though the movie does have a definitive ending. Story Grade: B-.

This movie was shot on video, but would have looked much better on film. Medium Grade: B-.

Real locations were actually used, rather than soundstages. There were numerous outdoor scenes. However, some of the outdoor nighttime scenes were so black in the background that one almost couldn't tell that it was shot outdoors. Set Design Grade: B.

The sexual performances were slightly above average, but I can't say I bought Asia Carrera's virgin routine. When it came to her sex scene with Jon Dough, she seemed to know what she was doing. (Perhaps her research as an erotic fiction writer helped her.) Condoms were used in the scene with Cheyenne Silver and Steve Hatcher and in the scene with Alexandra Silk, Anna Malle, and Joel Lawrence. Sexual Performances Grade: B+.

The acting in this movie was slightly better than average. Chris Cannon's delivery was probably the worst. George Kaplan seemed to be doing a bit of a Sean Connery impersonation which wasn't the worst. However, Asia Carrera asking him to get her bags from the car was ridiculous, considering that he was walking with a cane. It seemed out of character. Acting Grade: B-.

Why the opening sex scene with Julie Meadows and Chris Cannon was set in the Civil War era is unknown. Cannon's costume looked unrealistic. Plus Asia Carrera's sexy attire didn't quite match the personality of the character that she tried to portray. Wardrobe Grade: C-.

Again, the lighting could have been better in the outdoor nighttime scenes so that more of the background was visible. Also, the special effects that were used were somewhat rudimentary and perhaps could have been left out entirely. Lighting Grade: C+.

The sound quality was fairly consistent throughout the movie, although the closing scene with Asia Carrera and Joel Lawrence sounded a little tinny. Sound Grade: B+.

Whether or not this story was conceived as a trilogy from the onset is unknown. However, the exposition could have been disbursed a bit more evenly throughout the movie. As it was, not much of the sorcery element appeared until later in the picture outside of the familiar. Directing Grade: B.

There was definitely an effort made to make a stylistic witchcraft movie, and had the budget been bigger, it probably would have been done so more effectively. Artistic Merit Grade: B+.

Jon Dough send his girlfriend to get a tattoo from an artist with an unorthodox method, that is, the subject must be sexually aroused while being tattooed. The story is incomplete, ending without a cliffhanger, but rather a notice that the story will continue in part two. Given that there isn't much of a story to begin with, and that the runtime is just over an hour, it doesn't make sense to split this movie into two parts. Story Grade: F.

This feature was shot on film which makes it look great. Medium Grade: A.

Actual locations were used in this production, and there were numerous outdoor scenes. Set Design Grade: A.

There weren't many full-length sex scenes in this feature. The first scene with Jamie Summers and Jon Dough was just a blow job, as was the scene with Jamie Summers and Micky Ray. Jamie Summers also had a solo scene. A condom was used in the sex scene with Jamie Summers and Jon Dough. (Condom use has no bearing on the grade.) Probably the scene that had the most energy was the final scene with Kelly O'Dell, Summer Knight, and Nick Rage; however, it had no bearing on the story whatsoever and involved two actors that appeared at no earlier time in the picture. Sex Performances Grade: C-.

Line delivery was pretty good, although there was an awkward delivery from Nick Rage at one point. With the absence of a strong story, the acting wasn't that great, yet it was still a bit above the robotic deliveries found in average productions. Acting Grade: B-.

Wardrobe in this production was appropriate but not outstanding. It was a little above average. Wardrobe Grade: B.

There weren't any noticeable lighting issues in this production, nor do it appear to be used in a stylistic fashion. Lighting Grade: A-.

The sound quality was fairly consistent throughout the movie. The score by "Double Vision" was quite good and fit the tone. Sound Grade: A.

There were a number of good shots, particularly during the final sex scene. But again, there really was no reason that this movie had to be split into two parts. Directing Grade: B.

Given that many productions had switched over to being shot on video at this time, it shows a level of artistic integrity that this movie was shot on film. It was also visually and audibly appealing. Artistic Merit Grade: A-.
