One of my cats died somewhat unexpectedly. He had been ill for a long time, but I thought he would continue that way for a long time still. Or that that there would be a gradual decline. No. I went to work one night and came home to find my wife in tears. I didn't get to see him "go" or say goodbye etc. I had had 3 cats, yet so much of my life revolved around this one in particular. He was difficult at times, and now I regret some things having not known how little time he had. It's been a big in-your-face reminder that we just never know. I really hate those. I won't say "live every day like it's your last" because I find that too cliche. But it is very important to never do things with the intention of "fixing" it later. There's no guarantee you can.

It's been a few days, but I'm still having some troubles with this. I apologize, but I will be even more reclusive than usual for a bit. -V

seems many blogs are requesting permission to use other's handles etc in their blog. I have decided to be lazy and here-by enact an OPT-OUT policy. Please post here if you do not wish to participate in my blog.

Topical Groups and choosing a Main Pic

While LMO does not have a strict rule against genitalia pictures, there are some factors which you should carefully consider.

Yes, it is a "sex site" and we're all adults. What you choose as a Main picture expresses to everyone you encounter on this site, not just our group, how you wish to present yourself. Afterall, you chose that picture of yourself to put forward.

Many people throughout the site, as well as LMO specifically, do not enjoy carrying on a conversation with "a Dick". While you are free to make up your own mind, do not be surprised if you are shunned if you take this route. Perhaps surprising to some, but in-yo-face female genitalia is typically ill received as well.

I should also point out here, there is a HUGE difference between a "cock shot" and a quality nude photo. A "full nude" that shows the total package has been found to do very very well on this site, and will typically get a favorable response in LMO as well.

The Main profile pic is *by far* the single most important feature to using this site. Choose wisely.

for those who've been following my 3D-space saga, met with a "conciliator" today. Kinda like a mini judge. He said I had enough evidence (w00t) to present my case, and would move my case up to a (real) judge. This is very good news as it's an important step forward.

About The Likeminded Ones Group

The LMO is a open non-judgmental virtual community we call "The Mansion". Everyone here, is not expected to agree, we are "likeminded" in that we share one ideal goal. Anyone and everyone may discuss any topic while showing and receiving respect. Even in the most heated debates, we all can still "agree to disagree". And our family continues to thrive.
There is only one RULE to LMO, R e s p e c t and requires common sense in it's adherence.

There are however many Guidelines to our family. You will find your stay here much more pleasant the more you familiarize yourself:

  1. Upon Arrival you should sign the Guest Book at the front desk. Unregistered guests may be rudely ushered out without warning.
  2. Starting a new post and giving a little info about yourself, while not strictly required, will help you be accepted into the fold significantly faster. We like people who speak up around here.
  3. LMO Dining Etiquette
  4. more to come?
  5. Compliance with the site's T.O.U. is mandatory at all times.

Where's the BEEF? - Recalled!

The Humane Society of the U.S. (HSUS ORGanization) is responsible for causing one of the largest recalls of beef in recent history. Why? Their exposé video about animal abuse at a particular Cali slaughter house shows workers scooping up cattle using chains, forklifts, and various other implements of destruction is very typical. While the video was originally aimed at humane treatment even on death row, it raised a whole different issue.

There is a law that any cow for slaughter must be able to stand and walk on it's own. Why, it's about to be killed anyway, you might ask? Well it's not for humanitarian reasons anyway. Any cow that near death on it's own that it is incapable of standing is an impressive hyper-driven factory for our old friends E.Coli. Yum.

Now for the best part. Since this slaughter house makes primarily GROUND beef (and distributes mostly to super market chains and schools) it's impossible to tell what's been contaminated by one of these sick cows. So they have to recall ALL of it. Including the significant amount which is assumed to have already been CONSUMED!

Everyone empty out your stomachs...
