Another one for the fakes: female profiles holding a card with their name written on it.

If you see a female showing her face AND holding a card with her name/id presumably trying to prove they're real... Well, they're usually are actually the opposite... fakes!
If they really to prove it, you can easily ask them to CRUMPLE that same card/paper with their name on, and ask them to the pic for you. 0% they'll never do it and will ignore your question.

modus operandi:
1. accounts tend to be originating from Japan.
2. But, pictures actually are either super cute Korean/Chinese faces, or local Japanese.
3. They tend to say they either reside in Japan, or amazingly they will say they're in California, USA for some business/studies/etc. (basically they go with the flow of whom they're talking to for location).
3. Once they talk to you, they want to ask your gmail, then in gmail, they will ask to go to yet another useless online dating paid website. Their email accounts tend to have chinese gmail names.
Pictures can be found readily online, usually from japanese porn sites or some chinese versions of tumblr/instagram type sites.
Wish FriendFinder-x can easily see these picture fakes and ban them, but looks like they're super rampant in FriendFinder-x. I've only been in FriendFinder-x for ~2 weeks with gold membership, so finding out that there are enough of them floating around.
