There just isn't anything that I can think of that's wrong with the 4th of July.
Day off work with nice weather where family and friends gather to bbq and watch fireworks and celebrate this wonderful country that I love? Can't see anything wrong with that. Besides, love to see, hear, and feel the fireworks. Doesn't matter where I am, if I hear or see fireworks, I look or listen.
As a , we used to get our own and hold our own fireworks show, but we did it responsibly. Hose was right next to us and ready to go in case something went wrong. Roman candles were lit and fired only while wearing a sturdy leather glove and absolutely pointed away from you.
Hate these little idiots who have no idea what they are really playing with. M80s and such crap like that? Yeah, I don't want to play with dynamite. Not much fun in that and have never gotten off by blowing things like garbage cans or mailboxes up with them. So those particular 'boom' noises just irritate me.
It's the professional shows that I love.
The 'thump!' when the shell is lit and explodes upwards that you feel deep in your chest and gut. Oh yeah.
The percussion fireworks? Oh yeah, baby!!! Love them.
And I just like watching them light up the night. That part is peaceful for me.
God, I can't wait for tomorrow.
I'm like a waiting for Santa to arrive! Yay!

Can't believe it's been more than a month that I've posted anything. Been what seems like forever since I even logged in last. Sad, but I still don't have too much to say. Real life has been sucking every ounce of energy out of me recently and I haven't had much luck in having the whole work/life balance. *sigh*
I hope all is well with everyone. My poor watched blogs list is lit up like never before. Going to take quite some time to play catch up there.
Hope to write something worthwile soon. In the meantime, take care everyone! Hope to be back into some sort of regular pattern of stopping by again soon!
P.S. Scotch Broom and Cottonwood SUCK!!! Just ask my sinuses!!!

It was a challenging day, but I think I held up pretty well. People kept pissing me off. But then again, I heard that I quite pissed off someone higher up from me and that just irritated me even more since I was only doing as he requested. Seems he may have forgotten that. Neither I nor my direct manager got an immediate phone call, so I assume (good or bad, not sure) that I still have a job to go to tomorrow. Whatever. Fuck it.
So now the work is done for the day. Seemed to go much better the more empty my wine glass got. Funny how that works. 
So now I am on the final glass of the bottle and feeling quite good.
In fact I think that after I do finish this glass that I think I will go upstairs to bed and masturbate and relax even more. At least I hope it helps get rid of these damn hiccups that I just now acquired, damnit!!!

Been home for a week now and so happy that spring is here. Flowers are in bloom and my yard smells wonderful. Especially after the lawn got mowed yesterday. Worked in the yard for the past couple of days and my body is paying me back right now for that. It's all good though. Exercise and some weeds are pulled and plants and bulbs planted.
My trip was better than I expected. Get to do it again in a couple of weeks. Joy. My poor cat hates it when I leave. At least I get forgiven faster now and only get hissed at for the first few minutes when I'm home.
Took a few days off to try and get my bearings back again after working so much, but wish I would have taken the whole week off. Back to the grind tomorrow.
Really, not much else going on. Hell, haven't even been horny recently been too busy and stressed. Sad.
Hope everyone had a good few weeks. I'm still trying to catch up around blogville. People have been writing too much! Keep it up!

Or maybe it's ...leaving on a jet plane. But I do know when I'll be back again and I can't wait.
To say that I'm not looking forward to this trip is an understatement. I expect this is going to be a brutal trip. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.
At least it's warmer in Atlanta but my body may go into shock with the 20+ degree change.
I did get the house clean for my house/cat sitter, so that's a good thing. Wish I could actually enjoy it though.
Yes, I know I'm whining about this so I'll stop. I have to go pack now and then get to bed. Alarm going off at 0430 is going to suck!
I'll see about checking in from my crackberry while on the road, but can't promise anything other than catching up on my watched blogs.

Today there was the tease of Springtime. Almost 60 degrees and while not a clear day, got a nice peek at the sun without having to freeze while outside.
Left work a bit early today as I've been working a ton the past couple of weeks and came home and cut back the roses, pulled a few weeds and a couple of ferns. Felt good to get even that little bit done.
Can't wait for next weekend and Daylight Savings Time to begin so I can stay out even longer to get more work done. Or not have to drive home in the dark.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are still around? And coming out with a new movie???? Where the hell have I been that they came back and I didn't know about it. Damn.
Can't believe that I have to wait a freaking month to be tortured with the next Heroes chapter. Jerks. Don't they know it's just mean to tease like that?
Also falling in the line of can't believe it...The Cavemen from the Geico commercials are having a tv pilot made???
Baseball season is right around the corner! Yippeee!!!!
Can't wait to get a full nights' sleep tonight. For the past week I have had to get up too early or wake up in the middle or work overnight and I'm freaking tired of it. Hopefully I will actually be able to sleep through the night.

Another weekend come and gone

It never ceases to amaze me how fast weekends go by and then it's back to work. I guess it means more when you aren't exactly happy at work which is where I am at this point.
Don't get me wrong, most of the time I do like what I do and a lot of the time I love it. Not sure what the hell is going on this year so far, but it seems to be a constant state of chaos in my work life and that is encroaching way too far into my personal life. I'm tired of it.
What's worse is that I don't think it's going to be over anytime soon. At least for the next few months. Too busy now to even think about thinking past May.
In looking at the month of March, I will be working the first weekend, possibly the 2nd weekend will be calm, 3rd weekend I'll be preparing for as well as flying off to Atlanta, working the 4th weekend, then back home for the last couple of days of the month. Urgh.
Makes my head hurt thinking about it.
Gotta do what you gotta do though and I have a house to pay for and a cat to make sure I can provide for. I hope it gets better soon. Not sure how much more of this I can actually take before I tell them to shove it where the sun don't shine.

Onto another bitch. I have the Oscars on in the background as I write this. Not that I care what any outcome is, it's just on for noise while I do laundry and cook up some yummy Tomato Basil pasta sauce and another batch of chili as my batch for Superbowl was way to freaking good.
Anywhoo....I read last night that the goodie bags for the attendees of the Oscars is worth $71,000. Give me a fucking break! That is ridiculous. It irks me that these people are the ones who can actually afford to buy all the crap that they are getting in those bags and yet they get it all for free. Unbelievable.

Today was actually a pretty productive day overall and I think my favorite part is the roses I bought myself. I love flowers. Figured that I'd buy myself some to have something to look at and make me smile. So I now have 2 dozen pink beauties to gaze at and smell. I'll probably take a few to the office so I can enjoy them there as well.

Work has kicked my ass these past couple of weeks and I am so happy that it's a long weekend. Of course there is no way it will be long enough, but I hope it's at least enough so that I can get enough energy stored up so I can go and see about taking some more kicks.
After my plans tomorrow I plan on working on rejuvenating myself and sitting down and doing some writing. As mentioned before, a bunch of ideas and just have to get them plucked from the brain.
Going to be another early night as my brain and body can't take anymore at this time.

I swear that the days this week have been flying by. Been horribly busy each day with meetings and a ton of work.
I'm done with this week and still have 2 more days to get through. Damn.
And I swear I have things to do/commitments for this weekend, but I'll be damned if I can remember what the hell they are at this point. Maybe I'll just paint the office room instead and stay in and away from people. Not a bad idea. We'll see what happens.
So I haven't been ignoring posting. I do have things to say, but by the time I get home and am able to log in I have forgotten what I wanted to post for the day or am too damn tired to stretch my brain to make a post. There will be more enlightening things coming, I swear. Or at least that's what I hope.
For now I think I'm going to go try and get some sleep. Have to get up and go to an offsite meeting in the morning that while I'm interested in what's going to be said, I have a feeling that it's just going to get on my every last nerve and totally piss me off in time to ruin the rest of my day.

It's been a while so should have expected it, but late last week the damn cold bug that's been going around finally caught up with me. I haven't caught a cold in quite some time, so I guess it was about time, but it still SUCKS!!!
Started on Thursday morning when I woke up and had that feeling when you just *know* you're doomed and nothing you can do to stop it. Would have stayed home on Friday if I could have, but that just wasn't in the cards. I survived and it wasn't too bad.
Got through the day and cuddled up on my couch for the rest of the night ~ what a fun Friday night! Woke up on Saturday feeling like total crap and all I have to say for that day, outside of the fact that I had a bunch of plans I was excited for that I had to cancel, was thank god I had recently gone to Costco and stocked up on Kleenex. And speaking of which, I just realized I accidentally washed a damn Kleenex so now have little bits of it on that load of laundry. Hell.
Feeling better now, but I heard from someone yesterday that they had something that didn't totally clear up for 2 weeks. Urgh. I hope not. Just hoping that it doesn't turn into a sinus infection or bronchitis. I have too much going on and coming up to worry about that crap. That's for another post though.
Gotta go deal with my Kleenex infested laundry for now.
