I grew up in a glorious age for playing video games... I can still remember when the "coolest" thing ever was when Ms Pacman came out and ...omg she had a bow on her head! and yet despite the fact that I've been playing 1st person shooter games since they came out (I had the 1st version of doom) I've never even been tempted to join an mmorpg (massively multi player online role playing game for those of you non gamers out there) I was just never interested in any of them.... until recently
I've found an online golf game (of all things) that I just cant seem to stop playing and I think what I like most about this is that if I want I can just play alone, but you can also play head to head with others from around the world and each player can individualize his/her own character... and this is where the fun starts b/c some of those characters are women. and if you finish the hole before the other player you get to watch what that person is doing.... and your point of view is standing directly behind the other player and there I was, a grown man, watching the rise and fall of animated (and fully clothed I might add, you don't even see a neck line) cleavage! what am I? 12?

where were you 12 years ago today?
I was living in an off campus apartment in the panhandle of florida. interestingly, I knew the flight training academy where those men learned to fly... it wasn't that far from where I was living. I was working the midnight shift at the time, so when the events started to unfold I was asleep and my roommates woke me... and even now I remember how bad I felt when at 1st I was ticked at them for waking me, only to discover.... good call! as information started to become available I can remember the anger within the student body... 10 miles from campus was a mosque, and i'm embarrassed to admit this but some of the more scared/upset wanted to take action... although nothing came of that (thank goodness sanity won out there)
this is a rambling post, but it is a day for remembering...

apartment etiquette, does it exist anymore?

so I've been living in the same apartment complex for over 2 years, and I've been lucky enough to have the same upstairs neighbors for all of that time. they are a couple of good guys... just out of college, quiet (for the most part), and clean.... always nice to know that I wont come home to any weird smells!
I work non traditional hours and the weekends, for everyone else, aren't weekends for me... so last night as I was laying in bed my neighbors were having a party. and while I wish I could say that they were the reason why I couldn't sleep, they weren't.... but it was 3 am. I have also noticed that ALL of my neighbors routinely run their clothes washers and driers at all times and again this doesn't bother me, but at the same time... i personally don't do run mine after 11 just in case it someone else isn't as deep a sleeper as i am (and considering that i rarely get home before 11pm this can make my life more interesting...)
so i guess what i'm after here is.... am i off my rocker, or should there be a certain set of guidelines when you live in close proximity to others?

so I was sitting a work today, bored off my ass, and I was thinking about a blog post... as I was running through what I wanted to say I was thinking of a conversation I had with a lady and a thought occurred to me: how do I describe a female that I'm not intimate with? if I say girlfriend, doesn't that imply there is some relationship there? saying 'lady' or 'female' or 'woman' seems rather impersonal... and I cant say co-worker since we work in different companies. it seems rather odd to say 'female aquaintance'; although, I guess it makes more sense then saying "yes X is a female, and yes X is my friend, but no X is not my girlfriend" (sitcom lovers will get that reference).
at any rate, showing how simple my mind is, once I started thinking about how to classify this lady I know... I totally forgot about what i was going to post about, so i guess it couldn't have been that interesting or exciting..... hmmm much like this post!

I was just on one of the major news website and I was reading an article about how the Isrealites worry that if we don't act in Syria our image in that area will take a hit... now I don't want to talk about politics or weather or not our actions over there have been justified or not... I am willing to admit that I'm not smart enough to know what we should or shouldn't do in this situation.... but in all seriousness... how can our reputation in that region possibly get any worse??? we've waged war in 2 countries in the region already, and have threatened action in at least 2 more now (if you include Syria) the only thing that all peoples in Egypt seem to be able to agree on is that the don't want our help (except for our money of course)... so how exactly can our reputation over there get any worse?

so I just got done watching a roast on tv... and I didn't laugh once! every time the cameras panned to the panel or the crowd everyone they showed was laughing hard... now I chuckled once or twice but other than that? zilch... and to think ive always thought I had a good sense of humor!

recently I was watching a rerun of sex in the city (that's right ladies... and I swear I'm straight) and in the ep Carrie convinced a lady that she was marrying herself in order to get her shoes back (I just lost every male)at any rate this got me thinking....
what if I married myself? does this mean that the next time I masturbated in the shower it was my 'honeymoon'? aren't you supposed to do/go somewhere exotic on your honeymoon.... like Hawaii? and what does it say about me that I don't want to pay a boatload of money just so I can masturbate in Hawaii? does this mean that I don't love myself very much? cause if my shower could talk, it would disagree with that thought. or does this just mean i'm cheap???
I wonder if they make a pill to make thoughts like this go away?

a while back I was away on business, and it just so happened that the hotel I was staying at was also the host to 2 separate high school aged volley ball teams... for the most part these young ladies were 17-19 yrs old... so I felt no qualms about enjoying the sights.
On the day before I checked out I was in my room and looked out at the pool and noticed one very pretty looking young lady sunning herself and my thoughts started to run to all of the things that I could teach this young girl... now weather that's true or not (its not) is a story for another time. later that evening as I was headed out to dinner I happened to pass by the same young lady and as I passed by the front desk I over heard the clerk say... "can you believe she's only 14?"
14??? with the things that I was thinking just a few hours previously? I am soooooo going to hell!

so these are the things that randomly go through my head during the day.
For the longest time I have been perplexed by the idea of dominance... I could never understand who would ever want to be a dom or a sub... now please understand I'm not judging here(its very important, to me, that you understand that)... but... well I don't get it! I don't see the attraction to the lifestyle...
And then it hit me, I know why I'm not into the lifestyle! I work in the customer service industry... soo I work in that lifestyle! With my customers I am the submissive... yes sir you are right, right away sir we'll get that fixed for you! (no I will not tell you where I work) and then to my own employees I am the dom... I told you to do that an hour ago! what were you thinking? Do it now or else!!!
So why would I want to bring my professional life into my personal life? don't I get enough of that during my 12 hr work day??? Problem solved!
