Live Member Webcams are different these days

Hey everyone,

I like to pursue the webcams every now and then and I particularly like watching the every day woman that looks, for the lack of a better word, looks "normal". Normal is more like the opposite of "made up", or "professional " and not a bad stereotype of what is considered attractive. Personally I like the older and curvier variety of women, but that's not limiting for me.

What I don't really go for is the "professional" porn star like cams that seem to be creeping up noticeably in the "Live Member Webcams" section. And probably should be moved to the "Live Model Webcams" instead.

Recently, it seems like A&F&F went on a mission to Colombia to recruit a lot of these "Models" that started appearing here in the good ole "amateur" area. Nothing against Colombia, nice models, but me seems.... obvious.

Another thing I found myself doing is pointing out the signs of the professional by the<b> background. </font></b>(yea I know, who notices the<b> background </font></b ) 's like A&F&F issued a standard...
1) make sure your bed is tiny and don't have a real mattress on there , you're not there for comfort.
2) a fancy, sterile, headboard.... A MUST!
3) Staged art on walls, or nothing.
4) When on cam, openly demand TIPs to show. Really?
newly added...
5) Underscore in ID
6) Flawless lighting

are these and other stuff that just makes seem less genuine, the kind that you get from a lovely "person" 's just enjoying themselves on cam, and the attention of others.

I wished that A&F&F would refine their efforts into their filter on the Live Members Webcam page so that somehow I could avoid the fake stuff. But perhaps that wouldn't fit into their business model. What would TV be like if you could just filter out the commercials?

Would love to hear other's intelligent thoughts on this...

With all that being said, why have a model cam and a member cam section? I think my point is I think anyone with a bit of intelligence can separate the 2, at least I can. With less and less ordinary cammers turning their webcams on, maybe because of this new environment, it just looks like any of the other million porn sites. Ho Hum...
I started noticing a difference when they started the buzz for tips, and these professionals just moved into the members section without any kind of regulation, because they could make money there now too.
What you're describing too is kinda sad, and unfortunate, which is probably another reason why I appreciated someone who was on cam just for the fun of it. And I've been on this site for a long time, long enough to notice this migration where now the "pros" outnumber the "amateurs" in what is supposed to be the members section.

Interesting, the guy I was responding to, their comments disappeared, wish I had copied them, it was a good discussion. He seemed to have some connection to the management of A&F&F, so maybe he was pressured to remove them. So you're only seeing one half of the conversation, too bad.

Wow, is this glitchy, now his comments are back, and what's with the content of my blog changing. It's like they're randomly taking out words (like "to" and "it", etc.)

I guess capitalism is the plague that infects everything. Remember the days of chat rooms within ICQ or Ya@h00! messenger? Heck, I met a lot of real people spread across the continent and had some interesting long relationships with them complete with cam 2 cam sessions (all for free! Imagine that). What I also remember is the demise of all of that when capitalism, and I'll call what your describing as that in the more general sense, figured out how to program bots and eventually pushed out the real people. Eventually forcing the platforms to close down because they couldn't fight the SPAM bots. I'm drawing the correlation to what's happening in the member section here. I gave up on their chat rooms a long time ago because it just became a sausage fest and all of the real women were gone over time.
I think you're losing sight of the issue here, yea people are making money, but a lot of the "customers" I'm sure look for different things. Originally that's why I came here, I only interacted with what I perceived to be a real person, and no, they never suddenly asked for $$$. IE, A&F&F made money off of memberships I guess, but guess that wasn't enough. If this morphs into something purely commercial where now most the opposite sex (and lets face it, it's probably mostly on the women's side of it) becomes this pool of new aged strippers, it's no longer what made the site the least bit interesting to a large demographics of their old customer base.
And I don't think you're being an asshole, you are telling it like it is now, and I realize that, and that's why things are changing into something completely different targeting a different base. That's probably why you're girlfriend was repulsed by it, look at the audience they're playing to.
The premise of the title of the site I feel is now contradicting itself. From a hookup site, to just another porn site, and not a lot of community.
