read before mailing me on FriendFinder-x

a while ago, af f changed the way their mail/messaging system works. the whole layout changed and all, but the main issue is that the mail now shows all kinds of messages. if i look in my mail, it says i've got tons of new messages, and they will be my outgoing "icebreaker" message. and more messages will be automated replies to my icebreaker. and so, my mail is seriously overloaded with junk.
and the other big change is that it now only shows 10 (or however many) messages at a time, and you have to load the next 10, next 10 and so on. and each load is really slow.
so, right now it's showing that i have 606 new messages. and there's really no way i'm loading 10 at a time to get to the end of 606 just to dig through mostly automatic non-messages to find the real ones, and i've pretty much given up on even looking at it.
which means i'm probably not going to see your new message. sometimes now i use the live chat, so you can message me on there if i'm on. but otherwise, idk. consider the mail system officially broken, i guess.
if anyone knows a way to "fix" it, reply here. but i've looked through all the settings and i don't think there's anything we can do until FriendFinder-x changes their system again (which they seem to do pretty regularly anyway).

I'm cutting down (even further) on the messages I reply to... it may be partially my fault for not having a clear enough profile, but 98% of the messages I receive seem to be nowhere near what I'm looking for or at all in sync to what I've written.
I think a lot of it is maybe guys sending the same generic message to 100s of profiles or something, so not replying feels appropriate. But if you did spend a lot of time crafting a long, heartfelt message, then I'm sorry. But then I think we must be completely on different pages, anyway, so it's just as well.
I know FriendFinder-x has some kind of form reply option, but that seems even weirder to send people a blanket "sorry, but you've managed to completely miss the mark" message.
A lot of what I'm putting up is probably pretty uninviting ("I'm not looking for this," "I'm not replying to these"), but I'm really just trying to filter out all these totally wrong messages. I'm not looking to meet a ton of guys, anyway. I've met one here so far, and it was a good experience. I'm not expecting to meet #2 in the next couple weeks, or even months. Just chatting, getting to know the few people that seem to be on the same wavelength, and seeing what (if anything) comes of that.
So, if I didn't reply to you, I'm sorry. But you can probably find the reasons why if you go back and re-read my profile.

I don't know what I really expected to find here, I guess I joined more to find out. But mostly it's been kinda disappointing - short, generic messages from guys who haven't read my profile asking if I want to meet them for lunch or at a hotel before telling me their name. Anyone who sends or asks for a phone number in the first message is getting ignored (and I can't imagine any other girls on here are actually giving theirs out either). I was at least expecting more than the old myspace spam.
I already don't have things like "casual hook-up" or checked in the Looking For part of my profile, but maybe i'll just dial it back email only or whatever that option was. ...Not that I think it will help.
So, if You send me a message and I don't reply, it's either because I'm checking in less often. Or it's because you just copy-pasted me the same half-sentence message with your phone number in it that you sent to 1000 other profiles.
Last call for interesting messages?

i still need to rewrite my profile. i used the site's autowriter thing when i joined, where you just answer questions, which is cool but a few things are kinda off.
if you message me, say something more than just, "let's chat.". tell me something or ask me stuff. i got a lot of messages i havent answered bc i just dont know what to say back. sorry.
and if we havent talked at all yet, no, i dont want to meet or call you based off a one sentence description.
i know my profile doesnt give a lot to work w yet (like i said, i plan to improve it when i have time), so it's my fault really, but i did fill out like every questionnaire on here, so you can check that stuff out.

I just joined FriendFinder-x and I don't realy know what I'm looking for or expecting, so please bear with me. So this is just my first lame blog post, but if I wind up sticking around here, I'll probably blog a lot more, But it will still be lame.
