What is FriendFinder-x really all about?

I can’t remember how I came learn of this site or why I joined it in the first place but over the I have remained a member so as kill time and boredom. I pop in now and then a month or several weeks later depending on mood or if I do remember.
At first, the site looked and was interesting (or maybe it was just the members that I chatted with back then) but over the this has not been the case. I have chatted with all sorts of different men over the and met up with a handful. Tall, short, fat, thin, average, interesting, boring, chatty, quiet, young. You name it, so long as they were men and not women even though I have been approached by some of them and couples but I politely decline their contacts or ignore them.
Like I said, my aim of joining here was definitely kill time and boredom by chatting up strangers that I don't know and see where it goes because reality is more scary and difficult than virtual. The further away they were from my location the better as my major interest was not hook up with someone for sex here online coz it is easy have casual random sex with someone you met in a bar or anywhere else than from here online. It is easy ignore or block someone online than when knowing or meeting them face face because we all have been programmed with politeness and good manners and the last thing we want come across as is rude.
I am not looking for a relationship or anything serious but this being an adult site thus the name FriendFinder-x I don’t think that the only pleasure and interest for one be a member here should only be sex since I doubt that everyone or a majority of people here find it hard have or meet up with a stranger only for sex in our every day life. Attraction is way more important than anything else be it for sex or friendship otherwise what are we?
