Just in case you missed my post on one of our local groups that is exactly how I posted it. Why? as a chance to prove something. So before I start let me say that I know that not everyone on FriendFinder-x is here for sex, relationships or marriage. I know we have bloggers on here too. What really gets me is how people can not put their mouth where their money is. As the years have rolled by on here, the posts are drying up. Why, not sure, but in the past it just seemed like one big tease. This should be about finding our way not losing it. Recently a woman I was talking to on here told me that when she offered sex to 12 guys not even 3/4 showed up! No call no show! Why go through the work just NOT to even show? Before you Women think you are any better, I have had experiences with woman on here too!
So what the hell is going on here? Is this where the sexual revolution has taken us? All talk and no action? Seems so sad yet surreal, that what was to free us, seems to chain us in lies and half truths.

That being snow. Well it is winter here in the US. Good to see the Left, err west coast getting some of this. So on the Home frount, nothing much. I have had a really bad cold. Things on here seem as cold as the weather has been. However dreams of spring already are dancing in my head. My Garden is half planned out. Cabbages here, beans over there, melons here and more thoughts to come soon. As soon as the Lady sells me the winning lotto ticket, then the real work shall begin. Off for a winter nap............

What a ride in 2011! Wonder what little surprises 2012 holds for us? So a friend of mine asked me the other night about what I wanted for this year. She was surprised that I rattled off nonsexual stuff. Fixing my garage, working on more landscaping, my hobby project, getting a couple of house projects done. I love my sex time but the real work needs done too. There is a story about a tribe of Indians that put off working on anything. They became so lazy they would not save themselves. The story goes that every day they saw a glacier getting closer and closer. It was always tomarrow we will move. Finally the Glacier covered them and ground them up. In the Pipestone quarries we see in places the white speckled pipestone that reminds us of those people.
Alot is being said about this being the end of times. I feel that its not the end of mankind so much as a new chapter. One of the things I am working on is being prepared. I am not talking about some secret place with tons of food. I am talking about simple steps. I have a few gallons of drinking water and some undrinkable water for flushing the toliet. I have 10 gals of extra gas, Soup for 2 weeks, toliet paper etc. I have a grab and go tote. I have 2 tarps, a saw, ax, matches, fire starters, rope, water, foil, soap, toothbrush etc.. Is it everything I would want , no, but it is a good start. If I could only grab a couple of things this is the first thing I go for.
Much of what I want to do this year is kinda prepare for stuff. But that does not mean that I am taking my eye off having some fun too? After all, all work and no play makes Reallyready unhappy. Happy New Year to all.

My buddy that takes me out from time to time, just so that I remember how to eat in public, shows up with a free room in Detroit last night. So off we go for Gambling, dinner and TV! I mostly watched her gamble then went upstairs and watched TV. Before I hear your sighs, I have no TV at my house. I had to shut the cable off after the divorce and the freebe TV I got, well I just can not figure out how to plug it in for local channels. So ya I watched 2 hours of a show on Bigfoot. Hey! She was gambling, I had to have my fun too! So just as the show ends, she comes up and off to dinner we go. So we are at Greektown and OF course we eat at the Pegasus. A glass of Wine, Sea Bass for her, Chicken for me. The food was so good. It had been years since I was last there and may I say that time has been good to this Resturant.
So after Dinner I gambled away a whole 20 bucks. Then upstairs and sleep. I am not much of a City person. But seeing Detroit lite up was beautiful. Waking up this mourning and slowly seeing the light come up as a ship went up River was a great start to the day. Then I remembered why I think I was invited in the first place... sherpa. Off I go packing everything off to the Car for home and further adventures.

If you read my post from a few days ago, you know that I was wondering about a friendship of, mine. Some long time readers( all 4 of you) know about my Divorce back a couple of years ago. Durning College I had a friend that we kept in touch and I went out twice to Seattle to visit with her and her husband. I had lost touch with them. It seems that my Wife had a huge problem with my friend. Any time her name, her hubbies name or Seattle came up, she BLEW up. She went so far as to lose their address and Phone number. So to keep the peace I stayed away. My ex told me that I had thrown away the info, not her. So here this fall I found myself going through some boxes in the attic. Two boxes were filled with all kinds of papers. As I went through them I found all kinds of things that "I had thrown away" Addresses for old friends, Resumes, letters and cards. So this fall I called and remade contact, good thing they had stayed in the same place!
Last week she came back to the area for a Funeral for a family member. It was great to see her. She looked better than last I saw her. The hair was greying, as is mine, glasses are a must for reading and the stories flowed. Seemed that our time apart did not dampen our friendship. I had to explain what had happened and she graceful accepted my apology and said she understood.
She has always had a special place in my heart. I dated her for a short time. I remember the times she stopped by the room, little jokes she played, followed by that wild laugh. Her Father had done so much. They had a farm and I learned about Chickens, sheep, goats and flowers. My green thumb today is from 2 woman that showed me about growing. One left the College and trained me as her replacement and the other took me out of the Greenhouse into the real world. I fell for the one that stayed. She did so much so right. We did make it to bed finally. At almost 22 she was my first. She was gentle and walked me slowly through it. The going had just got good when the rattle of keys in the back door announced my room mate had come home way early. We never did finish what we started. Years later she told me she had felt sorry for corrupting me on that day. What to say, except that I was sorry we never finished and I could have asked for no better partner for my first time.
Years have went by and I fondly remember that day, along with other days we spent together. I may have lost her sexually, but keeping her as a friend was consulation. I lost her to the better man, no hard feelings there. My Mariage failed, they have one that still goes on. I never got bitter over woman after my Divorce. Well maybe one woman. I always thought of my friend and her husband, they made a marriage work, so it can work.
She changed me. Made that mark that made me a man. I guess she imprinted on me. I find alot of my approach today, gentle, lots of foreplay, kissing and sucking is from her. I also was asked if I thought that my hard time reaching orgasm was from that unfinished time. The answer, I have never played a shrink on TV but yea I think it most likely. Time has moved on. In spite of seeing her as an 'older woman' We talked about aches and pains, years gone by. But almost as important we talked about dreams yet to come. Maybe there is hope for the next 30 years after all.

I have this friend, well she was on here at one time but dropped off. She called me back a couple of weeks ago to ask me to help move a refrigerator out of her house. It has not worked for several years. I was off work for about a week and a half. Just kept getting shoved off and back. Finally she decides its the big day. So in spite of a ton of my own stuff to do, I clear my afternoon for the phone call. Then its early evening, then mid-evening. I go over to a friends house to do some work and called her. Not ready yet I will call you when I am done with my Mom. So wait and wait. Finally about 1am I go over to start taking the Doors off figuring she has to be home shortly. I arrive and get in via the secret way. I get the Doors off and go in the living room to sit down figuring she will arrive any moment. Instead I find her asleep on the couch! WTF!
I find myself at a point where I just do not know what to do. I know she has had it rough for the last few years. My kind heart has tried to help. This is not the first time I have been at the house to help and she has been a no show/ no call. The house is a wreck and she never seems to have any to start projects with. She has a worthless Boyfriend.
Mean while one of my other friends, Slow and easy, waits for me to do painting at her place. We go out to movies from time to time and eat together from time to time also. She chats, calls emails, IMs all the stuff to stay in touch. On one hand I feel appreciated by one and used as a door mat by the other.
I hate to throw friends away but what to do??

For the last couple of weeks I have been in the land of IM. I had never tried it on here before. Its been a mixed bag. Well here we are again, a year later. I have mixed feelings about days like these. Guilt, pride and amusement. Amusement at how some places suddenly turn all Militarly friendly for one day durning the year. I try to buy lunch for a service member in uniform. I also honestly thank them.
Pride in my fellow vets past and present who have or are serving. You have my undieing thanks. We are first and fore most a Nation of Citizen Soldiers. The true meaning of this is lost on most. Yes we do have some Professional officers but for the most part you come in as a civilian and go back as a civilian. This is why we do not have overthrows like other places. Also why we do so much medical and rebuilding.
Guilt in that I was never called up. It seems so unfair that so many have laid down lifes. Left families, specially young behind. This feeling that I never gave a full measure. I am not talking about dieing here. I am talking about doing what you were trained for, doing it well.

Ever just sit under a Ginko tree when the leaves begin to fall? Once that first leaf comes off, all the rest follow within a few hours. It is like being in a wonderful golden rain. You are covered in leaves within a few minutes. One of my favorite fall joys.
