Saturday night was most certainly all right!!!

Preparations for Saturday started early Friday. Mainly because I had to bake two different kinds of buns, make some sort of filling for them, and two cakes - all which I wouldn't have time for Saturday. But it went fine and it was all very tasty.

Up early Saturday so the could be handed off to his "bonus" mom, and I could start packing everything up for the day. Then it was time to head off to my brother and get him to pack up, and get ready... A couple of hours later we were heading towards the venue for the concert.

Shortly after we got there, we were joined by half of the band, and we started the whole repair and set-up session that usually takes place at this venue.

When everything was in place, we were nearly out of cake, but then the very gay and very hugable stylist arrived. He styled the singer, and then told me: "you know darling that your hair seriously doesn't work". At first I wasn't all that pleased with the comment, but a short while later I was fine about it - at that time, I was sat on a chair on a balcony and he was going for it with his sissors. 1.5 kg later he declared that it was much better.

ReBound Rubies had free guest list for the show, so the place was absolutely packed, and therefore hotter than hell, but the show was great!!!

I got back home in the early hours of the morning. Very tirred but also very happy that I had such a fantastic day, with nice people all around. All there's left to do now, is to process the ca. 480 pictures that I took during the show...

My ex's girlfriend

I never thought that I'd be deliriously happy about my ex's girlfriends. He has pretty much been a fishingboat trawling through rubbish since we split up. My has met ca. 18 different women within 5 years, which to me says just as much about these women as it does about my ex (you've guessed it, I'm not particularly proud to have dated him).

But for more than a year now he has had the most amazing girlfriend. Granted in the beginning I liked her, because my really liked her, but she has had such a positive effect on other things, such as:
I can now call my ex to tell him things about our , and he actually answers both phone and sms (very impressed).
If I need them to take the for an extra day, I no longer need to bargain/trade/persuade him to take him (or at least for the most part).
My no longer clings to me when he gets back after a weekend with his dad, because he now has someone there who wants to cuddle with him.

There are other things, but all in all I'm hoping that this relationship will last. Not only for my ex, but also for my . He's now referring to her as her bonus-mom, which is fine with me. It's also a selfish hope, as I would hate to go back to where we were before he met her.

As my ex has gone through some "trolls" over the years before meeting this wonderful woman I have had my share of more or less unpleasent experiences. Just to mention one: when my was nearly 3 years old, he came back after a weekend with his dad and a new girlfriend, who had tought him to say that I was a stupid b****...

So all in all I was just wondering, how others feel about their ex's new more or less significant other.

Expectations are high!

My expectations are high to a night out coming up shortly. For the third time I am going to see what has become one of my absolute favorite bands: Rebound Rubies.

Not only do I like their music, lyrics, etc. They are all very nice people on top of that. As an added bonus I get to take pictures! The singer is this gorgeous blonde girl, who likes the camera, and all cameras seems to absolutely love her, which makes it so much easier to take good pictures.

I am not sure quite how we got to plan it, but I am also trying to sort out some kind of food for the band, a couple of guests and I to have after the show. I know they expect some kind of cake, when we get to the venue, but so far I have not been able to come up with a great solution to the actual food.

The best idea I have had till now is breadrolls (home backed with sun dried tomatoes, bacon and jalepeneos) with something. Just not sure what that something will be...

The only spanner that might end up in this particular wheel is the fact that my sons dad has promissed to have him for the day, but I have a sneaky suspision that he might cancel it. But I am already trying to think of a backup plan in case that happens, so I refuse to let this put a dampener on my expectations.

By the way, if any of you wants to listen to their music, I highly recommend "I Believe" and "I just shot the president" (which is about Bush - in case you had any doubts).

Things that can/will fuck up your life

It's been ages since I've logged onto this site - or at least done anything other than just logging in.

Here's the reason (for those of you who don't care why: Tough - stop reading then): Stress!

I've always thought that I'd thrive under pressure, and I might still be right about that, but stress is a completely different thing.

One thing is to say that you're stressing about something another thing is stress. This is the big lesson I've learned over the last couple of months.

For something like two months I'd been able to get out of bed, get the boy to school, feed him, make sure he had clean clothes, and that has pretty much been it.

I haven't been able to pinpoint the excat reason for the stress, but one of the contributors most certainly has been the huge row with my boss and after that being firred.

Anyway: Slowly but surely getting back on track, and I might even be on here more than before, and I hope to be able to get back on track with the blogs (both reading and writing).

Mother Nature freaks me out at times...

This morning we had an earthquake here in Demark!!! It measured 4.7 - and I have no idea if that's a big or a small one. But guessing not something worth writing home about for those of you living where you get the "real deal".

What freaks me out is this: We NEVER get anything like that here. Which means it's big news all over. Within less than half an hour we could read or hear that the epic center was in Sweden (but close to Denmark), and all other details (just dreadding that it'll completely consume the news tonight).

So now I'm sitting here wondering why the h*** we suddenly get an earth quake here. Is it that Mother Nature is fed up with us fucking with her, and has decided to retaliate? And what will happen next?

Hmm... Lots of big questions, but it might be better if I just get back to work, and concentrate on that.

Have a nice day

Phew... Have started new job, which in some aspects are great, but it's wearing me out. Being a night-person it's a really odd feeling to be in bed before 10pm every evening for 3 weeks straight!

Discoveries while being on the new job:
The drive here is gorgeous!!! Small roads going through villages, fields and forrest, so the scenery changes nearly daily. It's a nearly zen-like feeling most days.

Men gossip more than women. Or at least some do. A couple of the guys here are like two teenage girls with regards to that. Took me less than a week to figure that out, and to shut it out.

It matters what kind of building I'm working in. The office is placed in an old farm, which has been refurbished within the last year. The indoor climate is so much better here, than in the concrete building I'd been working in before.

My boss has a great sense of humor, and is sometimes too nice. He's having a hard time saying no to both customers and some of the employees here, which means that the rest of us picks up the slack. Think I'll have a chat with him about it when he's back from Vegas.

Now all I need is to find the energy and time to catch up on the about 500 blog-posts I'm behind with...

I'm not on a lot these days, and seriously falling behind with all the blogs that I'm following. I miss it sorely, but I'll try and see if I can catch up on some of it!

Miss the laughs provided, and the more serious stuff as well, but hopefully I'll be back in full force shortly...

While taking pictures of my friend the other night we got talking about her previous relationship. We have been through a lot of it before, and although I never met the guy, I just find him a complete moron by now.

First it was just the every day stuff we talked about, but then it changed every so slowly to sex - or rather their lack of.

Now guys hold on here! In the four years they were together she was not allowed to give him a blow job. Let me repeat that, just in case you think you read it wrong: She was NOT ALLOWED to give him a blow job!

This left me completely stunned. I would have a hard time living with someone and not being allowed to give him a blow job, but how the hell can a guy refuse that???? I've never heard of that before. I've heard of guys moaning about that their girlfriends won't do it, but that's a different matter (not that I understand that either).

So please someone enlighten me here: What is it that makes a guy refuse to receive a blow job???

One of my favorite toys!

A friend of mine has just called and asked if I'd care to come around to her place tonight bringing one of my absolute favorite toys! So absolutely!!!

Now for those of you who don't know: This toy has brought me endless hours of pleasure in various locations, so I'll be happy to bring it almost anywhere.

Now before you really start to wonder what it is, I'll let you know that it's my camera

I got my first camera when I was 5, and for years I thought that I'd be a photographer, but when that didn't happen I decided to keep it as a hobby.

The pictures I take varies a lot. Some days it's friends or friends of friends who wants to have "glamshots" taken of them, other times my is the favorite target, other times it's flowers or what ever else I'm in the mood for.

So my guess is that tonight I'll be spending a lot of time taking pictures of her - according to her both very decent, and not quite so decent pictures, and I'm really looking forward to it. After that I'll be spending at least the same amount of time in front of my pc playing around with the pictures in PhotoShop.

And yes, the picture attached is a very cropped version of one that I've taken.

This weekend was supposed to be just me on my own

I had decided not to make any plans for this weekend and just relax, read blogs, watch tv, do what I wanted, bake bread (relaxing to me), etc. Somehow things did not turn out that way...

Friday I got that very wonderful surprise visit, so was quite happy to run around like a mad woman trying to get all ready in time for him. He's never seen me in my comfy clothes and Friday was certainly not going to be the first time, add to that the whole shower, make-up, etc, and the fact that he was about 10 min away, then you get the picture. But well worth it!

Yesterday I started baking in the afternoon and was just about to take the first batch out of the oven when a friend of mine called to see if he could come by for a cup of coffee. I think this guy is capable of smelling freshly baked bread a mile away! Obviously said yes, so he stayed here till some time late last night.

Today my brother called to see if I could pick him up at the train station, and if I had any bread, if he could have some (another one who most certainly can smell the fresh bread), so now I've just come home after having spend the evening with my brother. We made a deal: He bought dinner, I brought bread for his breakfast.

All in all a good and somewhat relaxing weekend, but by no means the weekend I had planned. Maybe I'll plan to be on my own again next weekend, and see how that one then turns out...

OMG!!! Suprise visit

Writing this as I'm recuperating after a surprise visit. I - once again - have to face the fact that I'm not 25 any longer. Don't get me wrong. I don't miss being 25, but I just not in the shape I was in then.

STOP! Before you start suggesting various work-out programs, I'm quite happy the way I am! Just miss the stamina a bit at times.

Thought that I was supposed to have a quite night in, but phone rang, and this wonderful guy asked if I was home, because he was only about 10 min away...

Now normally I travel 1.5 hours using public transportation to go see him, so very nice surprise.

He was excatly what I needed to calm me down again, so at least for the next few hours/days, I should be able to concentrate even if someone brings back up the story "My naughty mouth"

Not too long from now, I'll be sitting under the duvet watching TV, nursing my sore throat and body till sometime tomorrow. Just have to check a few blogs...

He doesn't get enough...

Browsing through some of my old CDs I found one that I haven't listened to in ages. The corous in one of the songs had me thinking of some of the males in here (and in the real world).

Translated version:
He doesn't get enough - that's why he's like that
Not enough hanky panky, too much of his hand
He used to get so much, but now he doesn't get enough
Yes he doesn't get enough of what's really hot
He doesn't get enough - it's his lack of luck
Not enough hanky panky, too much of him self
He doesn't get enough - not nearly enough - he doesn't get enough.

The lyrics in Danish are quite funny because they are so on the mark with the guys they are describing.

Now the first line of the corous makes me think: Is it because the guys who doesn't read the profiles, sends dick pics, invitations to fuck while just passing by town/country, etc. doesn't get enough?

By the way: They did actually write it because they thought that some men act to damn stupid!!!

I've been harrassed and didn't even know it...

Here I was thinking that the guy I used to work with was just a complete moron, but the woman at the job center today decided that he'd been harrassing me to quit!

Well the thing is, that I hate those places, so I've put off going there as long as possible, but as money is begining to be tight I had to go to the damn place to get some. They start assessing the whole situation - savings, previous income, rent, amenities, etc., to decide what kind of money I can get from them.

Then she finds out that I quit my job. This would normally mean that what ever amount they talley up would have 1/3 deducted. So she's asking me why I did it.

Told her that when I got the job I had a sales person that was great to work with, but he left for another job, and then I got to work with this guy who ended up creating more work than he actually got done in a day.

He would contradict nearly anything I sent out to customers, after which it would take me hours on the phone or several e-mails to get the whole thing back on track again.

I then had the slipped disc and was told by the woman function as our HR person, that it was difficult to explain to my colleagues that I was working from home so much. WTF??? No it's not (another rant sorry). When I then wrote her or tried to tell her about the new guy I was told she didn't have time...

This guy really pissed me off no end. He'd spend time conducting his own business during working hours, and do no work what so ever (including sending out quotes to customers). He's the type of man who should under no circumstances touch me - not even to provide me with first aid!

On top of that he was completely incapable of grasping simple instructions on anything. Things had to be explained to him 15 times before he got parts of it...

Anyway I quit because I just did not want to work with that idiot any longer, and thought that I'd tried all other options to get a solution to it.

Yes I did talk to him about how I felt, and what to do. Only answer: You don't always talk nicely to me - well no fucking wonder!

But good news is that I won't get the amount deducted, because he was a complete idiot - so guess that he's good for something.
