A Checklist For Healthy Living




The choices you make every day, affect your health and even how long you might live. These tips will help you avoid problems that can lead t.o illness:

> Wake up and smile. It will help put you in a good mood for the rest of the day.

> Meditate / Pray. A clear mind is one open t.o learning.

> Drink more water.

> Eat fruits, vegetables, and whole grains every day.

> Cook Your Own Meals. You can control what you are eating and save $$.

> Read and write more. Exercising your brain is as important as physical
activity.

> Remove clutter (less is more).

> Drink alcohol only in moderation. That's no more than one drink a day for
women, for men.

> Do some sort of stretching every day. Your body will thank you later.

> Learn t.o love sleep. Get seven t.o eight hours of sleep each night.

> Do something you love every single day.

> Forgive first. You will feel better and so will the other person.

> Be positive. Don't overlook your mental health. Attitude and stress can affect
your physical health.

> Don't waste your energy responding t.o nonsense.

> Spend quality time with family. You can never get back the time you have lost.

> Show gratitude.

I need to learn to sleep better. It seems the older I get, the less sleep I have.

I agree the sleeping thing !! it is tougher and tougher to go to sleep and I find i'm staying up later but always wake up and get up early 5 is the latest i sleep in anymore Been working on just staying in bed and try to sleep in a bit on weekends a work in progress I guess ? Cool topics !

I love to sleep. Unfortunately it doesn't reciprocate the feelings! Part of getting older. I sleep 2-3 hours, then I'm awake for a bit, then sleep again for a while, then awake. Even taking medication to help with sleep rarely makes me sleep more. *sigh*

Wake up time is hard to change. I basically wake up the same time every day, 7 days a week, no matter what time I went to sleep and even when on vacation. Heck, I have woken up at a particular time when a friend has mentioned that’s when they need to be up!

It seems to be a common problem. I have never been one for sleeping in late either. If I am tired and go to bed early, I only sleep a couple of hours so I force myself to stay up. Lack of sleep is really tough on our bodies and minds.

What a great checklist, I don't have one but I do practice many of these on a daily basis, as showing gratitude for everyone and everything in your life is so very important.. hope your enjoying your Friday, and I hope you enjoy a wonderful Easter Weekend..

I think many people 'follow' many of these without even thinking about them. It's a difficult time here as tonight at midnight, our entire province is going into lockdown for at least 4 weeks. On the plus side, I have my vaccinations booked and will get the first one on April 9. Have a great weekend.

when I wasn't sleeping well my daddy used to say I wasn't working hard enough. Now I like to lay back in a long...hot bubble bath and think about...nothing for twenty minutes.
