After yesterday's post, decided to put all four of my readers at ease and say that things got a little better today. Work settled down. As I was leaving work I checked the tides and found I had an hour or so before low tide so I rode home, grabbed some fins and a mask, jumped back on the mountain bike and rode down the coast to a new spot I'd been curious about for a while.
The oysters were few and far between, and all really young, the water was murky, I got slammed against a couple rocks and cut up a few times, got a jellyfish sting, but you know what? It was still fun. No pearls today, but I don't care. Had a nice ride home, did some rock hopping, and finished off the day with a cigar and a chocolate chip cookie. I'm back here again for a month of work. It's interesting being here after a few years. I didn't really like it when I lived here, but I don't mind visiting so much.
