I'm usually a pretty laid back kind of guy but there are some things that truly get me going and two of those are men who exploit and abuse women.

I've written a few times about erotic photography but after a quick review of those posts, I realize that I've never captured what I really wanted to say about the subject so lets see if I can accomplish that this time OK?
I LOVE photography in general and erotic photography even more. Capturing the essense of someone in a sexual and/or erotic way is what I try to do and when it happens, those images can be absolutely incredible.
But really, those images are only half the story. The whole session or scene is about so much more than 'just' taking pictures.
I'm sure you've heard the term making love to someone with your camera? Well it's not only possible but it's at the heart of what I try to do. There is (or should be) a 'bond' that forms between the photographer and his/her subject during a photo session and THAT bond is one of the many things that draws me to erotic photography. During those moments it's almost impossible to have sex AND take pics. Try it sometime, you'll see what I mean. You have to pick, one of the other. Of course that doesn't mean you can't eventually put the camera down now does it? LOL

My friend 'Lori' is of course a huge fan and I'm pretty much her 'official' photographer. Aside from composition, there is no more critical ingredient to a good picture than lighting. It will make or break a picture. Whenever I'm going to do a photo shoot, I always make sure and have my lighting setup first. I look at things from various angles and adjust accordingly.
That brings up another issue. I try to NEVER take any pics from straight on a subject. They turn out boring and lifeless. Move to a side or find an angle that shows off an aspect of your model. It makes the finished pictures look so much more lifelike and three dimensional.
Anyway, I just wanted to share some more thoughts on erotic photography. Anybody care to sit for a shoot with me? -tm
