I think that there is a lot of stress and worry in the world today. I think a lot of it regards women and desirability. People are worried they don't look good, or as good as they used to. They try to live up to possibly impossible standards. People judge, or are judged, or feel judged. But I am here to tell you, if you are a BBW or an older woman, and you don't feel you are appreciated, things aren't so bad.
Try being an old man. Or a fat man. Or both. That's where the lack of appreciation sets in. And I can prove it.
How often do you hear things like "She's got her granny panties on" or "Put on your big girl pants"? I contend if your underwear is part of the popular vernacular, then you have nothing to worry about.
But take old/fat men. When was the last time you heard ANYONE talk about their underwear. That's right....never! It's possibly one of the last taboos, one so taboo, that we don't even classify it as taboo.
Go ahead. Try to start a conversation about big man underwear. Or old man underwear. You'll get a weird look and a dismissal. "Why would you say something like that?" you will be asked.
So people of the world, change your perspective and realize that maybe we all don't have it so bad.

Deviant responded on an earlier blog that he was shocked to see that I posted. I told him had I known he was waiting, I would have done so earlier.
When the shoe is on the other foot, and I don't hear from someone on this site I have two conflicting thoughts...
Should I be happy (because you've got things going) or worried (because you don't want others to know you don't have your shit together)?
Some other sage advice...

I read a lot of blogs. And sometimes I sense a theme. This may be in my imagination, or it may be real.
And if it is real, it may be coincidence, or it may be cause and effect. That is, one person reads another blog and it stimulates thoughts that cause a similar blog to be constructed.
Either way, I often feel like my superpower is seeing the pattern. I may not communicate the information in the best possible way, but I try. So here goes my latest observation....
A lot of people seem to be in touch with shortcomings, problems, and family issues - both past and present. This is good, and the blog process can be cathartic.
If I could offer one thought, in general, it would be this...
Don't feel alone. We are all fucked up in our own ways. And we don't want anyone else to know or see just how fucked up we are. But guess what??? THEY KNOW! We aren't fooling anyone else but ourselves. How to cope? Realize that we are all fucked up, embrace being fucked up, and allow ourselves to share our "fuckeduppedness" (you have to pay me a nickel everytime you use that word...).
OK, maybe this was just an attempt to collect nickels from unsuspecting bloggers...I guess I should have made it an app and hit everyone up for 99 cents instead...

Well, I believe in the soul. The cock, the pussy, the small of a woman's back, the hanging curve ball, high fiber, good scotch, that the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days.

Watching the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon?
When I was a , we used to stay up and try to watch as much as possible. We always passed out of course.
I do not necessarily want to watch it all day now, but I do miss it. It's unfortunate it all went down the way it did.
We may never see something like that again.
