Leveling off

Well, I am approaching the 5 year mark after my radiation. I am feeling "better" these days. I guess I can say that things have pretty much leveled off. I can still get a pretty good hardon. It helps when I take a Viagra, but I don't need to take one every time. As far as an orgasm, I can still get a nice one but very little comes out. But it still feels very nice. On the bright side, there is very little "mess" to clean up. Do I miss not having a nice squirting stream of cum when I jerk off? Sure I miss it but....I am also very glad that I am still alive. When you get older in life there are several things that are a lot more important that seeing how much cum comes out or how far you can shoot your cum.
My PSA is still going down. Last blood test last week was at 0.7. From a high of 14. my Urologist says that is still very good. Might still go down a little more but the Dr says it probably has leveled off, which is still very good.
Overall, I am very happy with my treatments. Would I do it all again? Absolutely in a heart beat. It was well worth the small amount of sacrifice that I endured for my health.
Any guy that is going thru this or is thinking of going thru this treatment, I hope this helps you in your decision. Believe me, it is well worth it.

Since I started my blog several months ago, I am finding out that I am certainly not alone with dealing with prostate cancer. I have received many messages from several people responding on my blog but I have also received more private messages from guys on my profile. I even received a message from a wife stating she told her husband about my blog which he read. He is a few years younger than me but still is in the age bracket that should be aware that prostate cancer doesn't just strike us older guys but can also affect guys of any age. In any event, he has a family history of prostate cancer and decided to go to his Urologist for some testing. Happy to report she said his PSA count was rising to the point that he needs to keep an eye on it. That is good news. At least he will have a time stamp for the future so in the event that he gets prostate cancer his Dr will know how to treat it.
I am not trying to preach to anyone but early detection for prostate cancer or any kind of cancer for that matter is so very important for proper treatment. It is a simple blood test that most people have received sometime in their life.

A couple weeks ago I visited my Oncologist for my 6 month routine visit. He said I was doing very well and that I would not have to see him anymore. Now this doesn't sound like a big deal to most people. But when you are a cancer patient like me and your cancer doctor says he doesn't have to see me any more, that is like Christmas, Easter and Valentines day all rolled into one very nice gift. Its called Life and I was thrilled to receive this news. It was a very big deal to me. I am not completely out of the woods by any means. I am still seeing my Urologist every six months and for the rest of my life. And I am extremely happy to continue seeing him. He is very optimistic about my future and tells me I will die of something other than prostate cancer. Hmmmm, guess I won't press him on when!!!
The end results on my experience have taught me a lot about myself. EARLY detection is so very important. Finding the right doctors for treatment and doing what they tell you are also very important. There is life after cancer. Good quality life.
If you are a man over 50 or have a family history of prostate cancer, PLEASE get a simple blood test for PSA. It could save your life. It saved mine.

What is up with these very that insist on flirting with me or sending me messages. They say they are straight but they still insist on contacting me. I used to be a top when I was younger. Since my radiation it seems that I am more a bottom these days. There are 2 reasons for this.
1. Radiation has a way to diminish the ability to get a hard on. It is coming back slowly but not the way it was before.
2. And of course the aging factor. I'm getting older. I love when the doctors tell you its part of the "Aging Factor". They are being polite.
I think my prostate is more sensitive these days. You know when a person or an animal starts to lose their eye site, their hearing and smell gets a lot better. I guess its the same with me or any other guy that has radiation. Sometimes I can't top someone because, well, my dick doesn't get hard enough. But I can sure bottom and it feels great. And another problem I find is I never know when it will cooperate. Any body who has been through this understands this.
This in no way prohibits me from wanting to have fun. I still like to get naked and do a lot of exploring with another naked body. I still love to suck a nice hard or soft cock. My mouth and tongue still likes to wander and explore.
Some guys understand this but then there are a lot of guys that don't want to understand this.
Sometimes I read someone's profile from a younger guy that he says he is 100% bottom. These guys are in their 20's and 30's and will only bottom. In fact they tell you they WILL NOT top, so don't ask them. They want an older, mature dom top to top them. Well, that leaves this older, mature guy out for sure. Just don't get it. When I was young like that I always walked around with my dick hard as a rock and never had any problem topping anyone at any time of the day. I used to jerk off 2 or 3 times a day and could jerk off more but my hand would get tired. These days I am lucky if I can jerk off once a week and sometimes that doesn't even work.
As long as I am on the subject. I still don't quite understand why a young guy in their 20's and 30's and even some in their 40's, are interested in us older guys. Now I realize that there are a lot of older, mature guys like me, that don't have any problem with their manhood performing. I say "Good for you". Take advantage of it.
And then there a lot of guys like me that the "aging factor" has caught up to us.

As an older Bi/Gay man, I find it very interesting that it appears that there are more Bi guys that are bottoms rather than tops. Few guys will say they are versatile. I prefer a guy that is versatile than just a bottom.
A couple years ago I had radiation treatments for prostate cancer. It was touch and go there for a while but my hard on eventually came back. Now, with the help from my buddy Mr Viagra, I can get a nice hard on again. One of the side effects from the radiation is I hardly cum any more. I still have a nice orgasm but very little comes out.
Two things really kinda piss me off when I tell a potential "friend" about my prostate cancer.
1. You can't catch any kind of cancer from someone who has or had any kind of cancer in the present or pass. It just doesn't happen. I find that people who believe this are just ignorant and should read up on it and educate themselves. It is not an STD or Herpes or anything like that.
2. Guys ask me if I can still cum after telling them that I cum very little or sometimes not at all. Some guys tell me they are not interested in meeting me because they want to swallow a big load of cum or they want me to cum all over their face or chest. Well, that isn't going to happen with me.
There, now I feel better about getting that off my chest.
By the way my radiation worked very well. Doctors tell me my PSA has gone from 10.9 to .9 which means that my cancer is probably gone. Glad to be alive.
All guys over 50 should get a PSA blood test. Earlier age if they have a family history of prostate cancer. This will at least establish a date in case you should get a positive test down the road. I did almost 20 years ago and I am pretty sure it saved my life.
I will post more on this subject in another post. Or if anyone has any questions I would be glad to answer them.
