I believe life is about continual reincarnation. We aren't here to just be what we are today. Every day we cast off some of our old selves and take on something new. Like dying a little and being re-born a little every day. It's the natural cycle of life. Learned that in a very vivid dream many years ago. I died in the dream. And yet I was still alive. I was still a player in the dream. The eerie part is that everyone else knew I was dead even while I was still there with them. Sometimes they talked to the corpse me and sometimes to the live me. I was still me, but somehow I was different. It scared me until I realized it wasn't a dream about death, that death was just a symbol of renewal, The old self has to "die" for the new self to emerge each day. So I try to be "fully present in the present" each day. Life isn't about yesterday anymore or tomorrow yet. I promise that I won't try to manage your other relationships and ask only that you don't try to manage mine.
