So I'm a really laid back individual but today I got told off after being absolutely respectful by a lady in Texas bc I used the word boo when I spoke. I was told I was ghetto and that word is ghetto. I'm super easy going and usually don't say a bunch. Let me just put this out there though for anyone else who feels the need to be ignorant like this lady. I'm from south Louisiana, we use words like boo, darlin, sweetie, sweetheart....etc. alot of us talk that way. If you for any reason think this is ghetto or somehow anything other than southern hospitality or southern talk then PLEASE feel free to not respond to me. I assure you you won't hurt my feelings. I thought this was a LS of non judgemental people and so far I have interacted with really respectful and nice people. This today was completely disrespectful. I do will not apologize for the way I was raised or where I was raised, nor for the southern terms that may come out as I do talk. They mean absolutely nothing disrespectful nor are they an attempt to somehow come on to an attached woman other than what is agreed upon. THEY ARE CERTAINLY NOT GHETTO! Back to my fantastic day lol.
