Soothe Me
Midnight shadow silhouette
and the low rustle of denim
jeans now on the floor.
I can feel your gaze heavy
as it long takes me in.
I am not asleep.
But surely sultry dreaming.

Bed creaks slightly
as you climb in closer.
Barely moving,
but I feel your chest
rise and fall.
My breath quickens
in anticipation
of that first touch.

Your fingers trace
down my bare shoulder.
And I feel my body warm
from the inside out.
Loneliness disintegrates,
My mind quiets.
To be one with you,
in every way,
is my heart's wish.
Tonight and forever.

I turn to you
and you brush the wisps
of hair from my eyes.
Even In the dark
I can see your desire,
I can feel our own gravity's pull.
Your lips meet mine.
Deep, almost spiritual,
connection reestablished.

I pull you on top of me.
Familiar and comfortable,
my hands slide down your back.
Such weight lifted from my soul.
Looking up,
my true love's eyes
meet my asking gaze.

Please.

Soothe me.
