Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccck.....

I *hate* cocktail waitressing, even bartending is starting to get on my nerves.

I know, I know, I'm an educated girl... WHY would I keep taking these city gigs??? I should be doing something better with my time...I'm smarter than this, it's degrading...blah blah blah. I keep wanting to quit, but I've been doing it so long and the money's so good. I just can't give it up. I admit it...

*sigh*

I'm a tip .

I force myself to make pleasantries with any asshole who'll throw $10 on my tray when I bring over the round... Smile, and hold my tongue, as some stupid, stuck-up bimbo says, for the fourth time, "with a twist"...

Listen, you fucking coke'd up bitch, I heard you the first three times. Stoli rocks with a twist... and if you say it one more fucking time I'll twist your goddamn head off...

"Anything else?" *Flash smile*

Because $10 x 10 assholes/hr x 3hours = $300

Which goes towards good things like rent, plane tickets, shipping, board exam fees, wine, credit card bills and car insurance.

Which all gets me closer to bulging_boy.

So I guess, actually...

 Loved food waitressing and tending bar. Hated cocktail waitressing. In restaurants people sit down and pretty much stay put. In bars they move around and play "Trick the Waitress Musical Chairs." Never could get the right drinks to the right people.

 1Hot- YES! They are always moving around and then they expect me to find them. I think that from now on if the people move and I can't find them, I'm just going to drink their drinks. I do much better in the restaurant, but the money's not as good... Then again, it might be worth it to take a $100 loss if I don't have to schlep to the city in a short skirt to deal with assholes all night. Last night's party thatI worked was good however, so I'm hanging in for now.

HH- hehehe... not deaf, but... 10 pounds? Is that a lot? Then yes... leave me that!

 We don't get tips

Well every night we have to sign for our tip jar and they all just sit behind the desk and at night we sign them back out empty lol.

If someone asked me for a drink with a twist I would say "a twist of what?" lol.

The other night a lady asked for a brandy and soda water and I had to go all the way to the other bar to get it cos we were out of brandy and the bartender there made the drink with a double shot of brandy and filled up the rest of the way with the soda water.

I took it out to the lady and she said that can't be my drink then said it was way too much soda water and she had just wanted a little bit of water in it! So back I went to the other bar for another one! You would think since everyone else had the table had said how much water/lemonade they wanted with their whiskey she would have said so too lol.
