Back from injury

Strained my right Achilles a few weeks back running on some uneven road. Felt like a light strain at the time, but the pain wouldn’t go away for almost 2 weeks. Finally able to walk without pain. Going to test it this morning with a light jog. Leg injuries really suck as you get older.

A 20 minute run and some core/ab work at the end. It was cooooldddd at the start of the run, but now I feel warm and energized! Great way to start the day on cold winter morning!!!

Not a winter person

Winter is my least favorite season. I miss the colors and smells of spring, summer and fall. Breathing in the cold makes me feel tired and sleepy. Maybe that's why I just want to jump under the covers and warm up next to a hot naked body!!

Reconnected with an old friend in the past month. Even after not seeing one another in a while, it felt like we just picked up where we last left it. It's nice to reconnect with your past.

Looking forward to a business trip to Toronto. Haven't been back there in a few years and always love the food scene there. Wish it would be a little warmer this time of year, but still excited to go!

Spring sun feels great on my face while I sit sipping some tea and reading a book. Moments of calm, well-being and happiness knowing that the Winter is done and Spring is upon us.

Snow shoveling workout

Yesterday afternoon was a full body snow shoveling workout! I am crazy sore today but I still managed to go to the gym and do some stretching and light cardio. Not better time that now to start getting more disciplined with the exercise and get that summer body we all aspire to get this time of year.

Back from an 8 mile run on an absolutely beautiful day in Feb! This was my best run since last spring and really only felt tired in the last 2 miles. I should start looking for a half marathon in the spring as a good motivation to keep running!!

1. More oral sex and lots of DFK.
2. Quality over quantity - food, friends, and uh yeah maybe sex too.
3. Drink more tea (especially non-caffeinated)
4. Give and receive more massages.
5. Ok fine. I'll put in the obligatory go to the gym 3 times per week.

Not going to end 2016 gaining that extra holiday weight. Keeping low carb and really upping the fat intake. I'd love to find a good stevia flavored egg nog recipe!

Want to hibernate

I want to find a cave, some thick blankets and hibernate for 4 months. Recovering from a nasty bug last month during the Fall weather has me out of summer shape and into winter hibernation mode.

Sick for over a week...

It always starts with a slight tickle in the throat. I try to take lots of Vitamin C and zinc. But this time it was full on strep. Antibiotics have brought down the pain and swelling in the throat, but it's also done some damage to my GI tract for sure. Feeling cabin fever being stuck at home.
